Trail Runner

CONCEPT

The Trail Runner concept was designed using advanced tech/processes, to provide a rugged but comfortable ride.

With all the internal padding integrated into the sock liner there are no seams providing a seamless fit. Dyneema side panels provide lockdown support with unparalleled resistance from rugged environments. A wider organic tooling provides the ultimate traction on all surfaces.

Models

Two versions were designed, 3D modelled and textured. A low cut with more breathable materials aimed at summer running whilst the mid cut has a winterized Goretex lining providing even more protection from the environment.

Both utilise the same tooling swapping out surface textures and effects to differentiate the range.

Creative Direction

At the beginning of the project, the creative direction and background research is defined. These key elements form the design drivers.

Initial Concepts

Utilising the background research and creative direction, 3 main areas of focus for initial design exploration are created. These areas are Protection / Speed / Comfort support. At this stage of the process the focus is exploring form, blocking and emotions highlighted in the creative direction.

Refined Concepts

From the initial exploration, three concepts were developed. These take the exploration elements and fuse them together in different ways to create a broad scope for further refinement.
